The Paul Hornsby Interview

The Gaul of the South, the audacity to believe in the soil of the country. The same soil toiled in by African Slaves 2 centuries ago.

The plantation owners and the reparations or lack there of. The entrenched cultural bias of the leaders and the pastors and the preachers and the politicians.

Music is one if the few non polarizing languages we have left in this country and my guest today is one of those cats from the south who understands the sheer vitriol and distrust that people of color have in the south.

In fact a lot of what my guest has done as both a musician and record producer is to push back against this  hatred machine. In other words he continues to cultivate that hour glass of time bringing people of all stripes together to listen, learn and love.

From that a fire on the mountain can take place as it has for Captain Beyond and Charlie Daniels and Gregg and Duane Allman or the MTB and a whole host of other bands that my guest has helped ascend to radio stardom.
